Stuffed Chicken Lollipop Recipe - Chicken lollipop is an  popular in Indian Chinese cuisine. Chicken lollipop is, essentially a Frenched chicken leg, where in the meat is cut loose from the bone end and pushed down creating a lollipop appearance. It is usually served hot with Szechuan sauce.
This Chicken Lollipop Recipe is generally considered as a hors d’œuvre or appetizer dish. Though not everyone may know, this chicken dish is made from chicken wings. In the Philippines, Chicken Lollipop is considered as a main dish and is prepared in a simpler manner compared to the chicken lollipop dishes of India and other countries.

This chicken lollipop recipe has a huge similarity to the Asian Pan Fried Chicken though it takes more time and effort to prepare. The chicken wings need to be chopped and the meat arranged in one end of the bone. This is usually done by loosening the meat from one end of the bone and forcibly pushing it down to the other end.

Stuffed Chicken Lollipop Recipe Ingredients:

  • 6 pc. Chicken wings
  • 300g Breast chicken
  • meat minced
  • 30g Carrots chopped
  • 30g Celery Chopped
  • 1pc Egg
  • 50g Flour
  • 30g Spring onion
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp White pepper
  • powder
  • 1 tsp Powder seasoning
  • 1 ltr. Cooking oil for
  • deep frying
  • 500g Bread crumbs

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Debone chicken wings. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Mix minced chicken meat with carrot, celery, spring onion, egg, flour, powderseasoning, salt and pepper.
  3. Place mixture of minced meat on pastry bag and stuff it inside debonedchicken wings to make lollipops.
  4. Dredge into flour, and wash into beaten egg first and bread crumbs next.
  5. Deep fry fat in heated oil for 15 minutes or until done.

Chicken lollipop is usually prepared using the middle segment of the chicken wing or thigh. The middle segment has one of the two bones removed, and the flesh on the segments is pushed to one end of the bone. These are then coated in a spicy red batter whose main ingredients include red chili powder, and turmeric. The coated chicken is then marinated for a couple of hours. The marinated chicken is usually deep fried in oil, but another well-known choice includes baking. The bone end of the chicken lollipop is sometimes wrapped with an aluminium foil.
